May we take this opportunity to tell you a little about our fellowship?

Who are we? Just a bunch of ordinary people, with the same concerns as most people.

We also happen to believe that Jesus is alive and well and that He is Good News!

We have discovered His love for us and experience His strength in our lives.

We believe, in particular, that Jesus Christ is God’s Son. We believe that He showed God’s love for us in a human life; and that when people rejected and crucified Him, God raised Him to life again.

Jesus suffered and died on a Roman cross so that we might know God’s love, forgiveness and eternal, life.

The Good News of Jesus Christ, is that He is the answer to the meaning of life and through Him we can know and have a personal relationship with the God who created us.

Believing that true life in all its fullness can only be found through a faith relationship with Jesus Christ, we meet together to encourage one another in this love and seek to share it with whoever we can.

Whatever age, culture, or background, whatever problems you may have, you can be sure that our doors will be open in readiness to welcome you and to share the love of Jesus.

Who We Are...

As a lively evangelical and charismatic church at the heart of the area, Oakleigh Community Church aims to provide a refreshing and modern approach that often surprises visitors with its informality, worship style and contemporary music. While part of the Church of England, you will find our style is far from traditional.

Many people start their involvement with us just by coming along to our Sunday morning service. We aim to make our service a place where you can hear the Bible taught in a relevant and understandable way - and where you can meet with God.

Oakleigh Community Church was founded in October 2001 by a small group of people from its ‘parent’, St Barnabas Church in Finchley. Since then, it has developed into a thriving and growing community and fellowship, with a warm welcome to all those who come through our doors.

Today Oakleigh is a warm and friendly fellowship of around 50 adults plus children. Visitors are always welcome.

Our main space...

...is used for Sunday services, seating around 90 people. There is also a smaller hall, plus a large portacabin building.

Planned alterations to the building were completed during 2010, including complete redecoration, a new stage, reflooring and carpeting throughout, construction and installation of our AV control gallery, with a new video projection system, and new external features. Altogether a huge improvement and providing a much lighter and more attractive building.
