Finchley Memorial Hospital

Granville Rd, London N12 0JE, UK – 020 8349 7500

A modern and well specified walk-in health centre that I have visited MANY times with my kids. Ample parking which is, wait for it, FREE!

I didn't have much of interactions with people but it seems nice and clean and very modern

Barnet Hospital

Wellhouse Ln, Barnet EN5 3DJ, UK – 020 8216 4600

I have to congratulate Barnet Hospital A& E team. I had my CT scan, blood and urine test done within 3 hrs of my arrival.Everyone was so caring and attentive.Top class treatment from start to finish. I feel much better a day after already.A BIGTHANK YOU XXX

I want to thank the amazing staff of Barnet Hospital A and E who were on duty on Friday 1st December. Thank you for your kindness, humour, love, patience, speed (notwithstanding what's possible if life threatening events intercede). When I arrived with my 90 year old mum, every single person - from the fantastic paramedics, Sarah and colleague - to the lovely security man who took me to the place to get a taxi at 2.00 am, was kind, committed, hard working and genuine. I was incredibly moved to see hospital staff from all over the world, all colours, speaking many languages, smiling, helping and supporting each other aswell as a very challenging and mainly elderly patient group. I'm sick of people knocking our amazing NHS, completely free to the user . Also without all nationalities converging from all over the world, we would not have an NHS. Charlie, Katherine, Marta, Dr David, Michael and all the others last night, thank you. You set the bar very high with your warmth and tenderness, patience and commitment. I could not do your job (I'm a psychotherapist). Paramedics, nurses, porters, cleaners, doctors, reception and security - you made my mum feel welcome and cared for last night. X

Hadley Wood Hospital

52 Moxon St, Barnet EN5 5TS, UK – 020 7317 7751

I found this Hospital and all the staff to be exceptionally good. Nothing seemed to be a problem and they couldn't do enough for you. It's nice to have a meaningful chat with them at different stages as it relaxes you no end. The blonde receptionist was bright and cheery and the endoscopy was really not bad at all - the advice to breathe through the nose was spot on and i decided to give the sedative a miss as i was very relaxed. The lovely black girl - forget her name - was great to me getting me a few cups of coffee and biscuits which i really enjoyed after the fasting. The Doctor, Dr Alisa had travelled a long way in heavy traffic and never complained. The CT abdomen scan was a breeze, again great staff. All in all - a top class experience. Very modern, the hospital and almost new i was told and what a great place !!

I would like to thank all the staff at Hadley Wood Hospital for so many reasons including ensuring everyone I dealt with at every stage from my initial referral by the NHS, to booking cab for me to leave. In between, I dealt with courteous admissions staff, an outstanding Nurse Kennedy who provided a detailed and reassuring telephone assessment and consultation, a flawless receptionist, and wonderfully friendly and professional staff on the day of my dental surgery. I met a nurse on her first day who will no doubt enjoy working with her friendly team, and I'm sure her warmth did not go unnoticed. I was introduced to/treated by 11 members of staff, including nurses, the matron, surgeon, and the anaesthetist who respected my privacy and made sure I had everything I needed. This highly-organised team is magnificent and I know private and NHS patients who may be referred to them will recommend this new hospital. I am currently recovering pain-free after having teeth extracted, and my relief at the surgery being over, and having been treated so well have left me very happy.

The new NHS website below is very well worth a look. Hospitals are not only listed but evaluated. I certainly know which ones I would go to! At the very least you will know what questions to ask if you are sent to one which has not entered its data. Good luck!
